Although this is not a cactus, I wanted to show one of my butterfly iris blooms. They are not very big, perhaps 3 inches in diameter. But they are very pretty. We have about 10 clumps of the irises in our yard. They should be separated but I have not done that because I don't have room for anymore.They don't require much water and seem to prefer mostly shaded areas. In the winter, it is best to water very very little as they turn brown if they get hit with below freezing temperatures right after being watered. The next spring, then, they have to be groomed.
